purpose
For this assignment, we were tasked with creating a mark-making book composed of ink marks produced using various materials, tools, and techniques, which were then scanned and compiled into a final publication. In response, I digitised my marks and explored them further in Adobe Photoshop, colouring each layer individually and experimenting with layering combinations. Through stacking and blending the marks, I discovered that abstract compositions could evolve into intricate, illustrative forms. I then designed and formatted the book in InDesign and produced a physical copy using coptic stitching, reinforcing the handmade quality of the project while presenting it as a cohesive publication.
