PURPOSE
This project explores the translation of biological forms into a 3D faceted enclosure (cloche). Centred on the dandelion, the design mirrors both the physical anatomy of the plant and its biological stages of metamorphosis.
Using Rhinoceros 3D, I developed custom 2D vector patterns derived from the structural transformation of the dandelion- from flower to seed head- and integrated them as cut-out perforations across the faceted surface. The digital model was unrolled into a flat net for physical fabrication, documented through orthographic vector drawing and studio photography, and finally re-imagined at an architectural scale through digital photomontage.
